Playa del Matorral is located on the south-east coast of Fuerteventura, near Morro Jable, and offers a wide expanse of sand and an impressive view of the clear, turquoise waters of the Atlantic.

Particularly striking is the Faro de Morro Jable, which rises in the centre of the beach and offers a picturesque backdrop. Along Playa del Matorral there is also a large wetland area with protected salt marshes, the Saladar de Jandía, which is an important habitat for various bird species, such as the grey heron (Ardea cinerea), which finds ideal conditions here.

Playa del Matorral is known above all for its turquoise-coloured water and its spaciousness, which makes it the ideal place for families, sun worshippers and water sports enthusiasts and means that it is not overcrowded even during the high season.

For those who want to continue their fitness routine on site, there is also a fitness park right on the beach.
