Playa del Castillo, not far from El Cotillo on the north-west coast of Fuerteventura, is a large stretch of beach that extends all the way to the well-known Piedra Playa. This stretch of coastline offers ideal conditions for different activities and is therefore divided into different sections: There are areas for swimming, kitesurfing and surfing.

Piedra Playa at the southern end of the beach is a particularly popular spot for surfers and is often used by surf schools, as the constant waves offer excellent training conditions.

The beach is surrounded by impressive cliffs, which not only provide a breathtaking landscape, but also offer a little protection from the wind, like the occasional corralitos, small stone circles.

The beach is popular with both locals and visitors and does not appear overcrowded even during the high season due to its spaciousness.
