A hidden natural highlight for adventurers
Playa de la Mujer is a secluded, narrow stretch of beach cut deep into the rock in the north-west of Fuerteventura, which is particularly popular with locals and adventurers. This hidden coastal strip is framed by wild, pristine rock formations and offers an impressive mix of fine, golden sand and crystal-clear water.
At low tide, there are also fascinating natural pools along the rocky coast, where you can enjoy a relaxing swim and the tranquillity of the secluded surroundings. Playa de la Mujer is known for its often strong surf and dangerous currents, which is why swimming in the open sea is not recommended.
The adventurous and challenging descent to the beach requires surefootedness and a little climbing skill, as the path leads over steep, rocky paths. However, the effort is rewarded with a spectacular view of the untamed coastal landscape and a unique experience of nature.
For those who want to experience the unspoilt and wild side of Fuerteventura, this beach is a real gem and reflects the pristine beauty of the island in a special way.
