Wide city beach with local flair
Playa de Gran Tarajal is located in Gran Tarajal, the third largest town on Fuerteventura in the south of the island and is characterised by a wide beach with fine, dark sand.
With a length of over one kilometre, the city beach offers plenty of space to relax and has been awarded the blue flag, which stands for high environmental and safety standards.
As a popular meeting place for locals, the beach section has a maritime promenade that stretches along the beach. Here, visitors will find numerous restaurants and bars offering local and international food and drinks.
Scattered sculptures have also been placed along the promenade to make the walk artistically appealing.
The infrastructure of the beach is well developed: There are showers and plenty of parking spaces nearby.
Playa de Gran Tarajal is less touristy than other beaches on the island and thus offers an insight into the authentic life of the islanders.
