Endless expanses & impressive natural panorama
Playa de Cofete is one of the most impressive and secluded beaches in Fuerteventura and even Europe. Located in the south-west of the island, around 20 kilometres from Morro Jable, this extensive and unspoilt stretch of beach stretches for several kilometres along the coast and offers breathtaking views of the Atlantic Ocean and the dramatic mountain landscape, which includes the highest mountain on the island, the Pico de la Zarza (807 metres).
Known for its rugged, unspoilt surroundings and sheer endless expanse, Playa de Cofete conveys a feeling of absolute seclusion.
At the entrance to the beach, below the small village of Cofete, is the Cementerio de Cofete, a small, secluded cemetery that gives the place an additional mystical touch and reminds us of the few people who once lived in the village.
