Caleta de Fuste, also known as El Castillo, is a popular holiday resort on the east coast of Fuerteventura, just a few kilometres from the airport. The town is characterised by its sheltered sandy beach, which lies in a crescent-shaped bay and is ideal for families and water sports enthusiasts. The calm waters are perfect for swimming, snorkelling and various water sports.

In addition to the beach, Caleta de Fuste offers a wide range of accommodation, restaurants, bars and shops, making it a lively holiday destination.

One highlight is the historic fort, the Castillo de San Buenaventura, which gives the town its second name. Nearby is also the so-called "crab rock", a natural seawater pool that becomes accessible at low tide and is ideal for swimming and discovering small sea creatures.

Not far away is Playa de la Guirra, another sandy beach with gentle surf and good infrastructure, which is also ideal for families.

Caleta de Fuste is also an ideal starting point for golfers, as there are two excellent golf courses in the vicinity that offer marvellous views of the Atlantic.
