Defence history of Fuerteventura
The Centro de Interpretación de Las Batallas de El Cuchillete and Tamasite focuses on the decisive battles of the 18th century in which the inhabitants of Fuerteventura successfully fended off English pirates.
The interactive exhibitions offer an exciting insight into the military tactics of the time and the everyday life of the soldiers. Visitors can relive the historical events through reconstructed scenes and multimedia presentations.
The museum not only conveys military knowledge, but also the importance of the islanders sticking together in difficult times.

By car
- The Centro de Interpretación de Las Batallas de El Cuchillete and Tamasite is located in the southern centre of the island, in the village of Tuineje. Access is via the FV-2.
