The Mirador de Cofete towers above the Playa de Cofete of the same name and offers a breathtaking panoramic view of the rugged Atlantic coast.
This remote location gives visitors the opportunity to experience the unspoilt nature of the Jandía National Park. This natural paradise is characterised by its unique mountain backdrop and kilometres of beaches.
- RECOMMENDATION
In combination with a visit to the beach
- The Mirador de Cofete can be ideally combined with a visit to the kilometre-long Playa de Cofete. On the way to the beach or afterwards, a stop at the viewpoint is definitely recommended.
- Notice
Wind & limited parking facilities
- Due to the unprotected location, very strong winds can occur at the viewpoint. Special care is therefore required.
- There is only limited roadside parking available, making a visit more suitable as a stopover.
- Getting There
By car
- The Mirador de Cofete is located in the south-west of the island and can be reached via a long gravel road from Morro Jable to Cofete.
- The journey from Morro Jable takes about 40 minutes and a vehicle with a higher ground clearance is recommended due to the gravel road.
- There is only very limited parking on the roadside.
