Oggi \u00e8 uno degli animali pi\u00f9 conosciuti dell'isola.<\/p><p data-start=\"1153\" data-end=\"1689\">Questi piccoli roditori si trovano ovunque: nei punti panoramici, nelle regioni costiere rocciose o persino nei complessi alberghieri. Il loro comportamento curioso li rende popolari tra i visitatori - eppure \u00e8 <strong data-start=\"1563\" data-end=\"1596\">\u00e8 importante non dar loro da mangiare<\/strong>. Gli animali sono curiosi ma cauti e fuggono in un lampo nelle fessure non appena il pericolo li minaccia. Il loro colore varia tra il grigio, il marrone e il verdastro a seconda dell'habitat. Le lucertole sono una parte importante dell'ecosistema perch\u00e9 si nutrono di insetti e diffondono i semi delle piante.
